ANKARA (AA) - Former French President Jacques Chirac died at the age of 86 on Thursday, according to local media.
"President Jacques Chirac died this morning among his family. Peacefully," said his son-in-law, Frederick Salat-Baroux, French daily Le Figaro reported.
Chirac served as president from 1995 to 2007.
He also served two terms as prime minister from 1974 to 1976 and from 1986 to 1988.
