ANKARA (AA) - Annual consumer inflation in France rose to 4.8% in April, according to the country's statistical office on Friday.
The figure, unchanged from the preliminary data, was up from 4.5% in March.
The rise was stemmed from the acceleration of service, food and manufactured good prices, it said.
The prices of energy slowed down but continued to rise sharply over one year (up 26.5% in April versus 29.2% in March).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices index increased 0.4% in April after jumping 1.4% in March, thanks to ease of energy prices.
The prices of energy fell back (down 2.5% after a 9.0% rise) linked with the decrease in petroleum product prices, down 6.8%.
