ISTANBUL (AA) - French investigating judges have issued summons warrants to two Franco-Israeli activists over alleged complicity in the genocide in Gaza, French daily Le Monde confirmed Monday.
Summons warrants were issued in the summer 2025 against two Franco-Israeli activists living in Israel, including Nili Kupfer-Naouri, founder and president of the association Israel Is Forever, and Rachel T., spokesperson for the Tsav 9 collective.
Israel Is Forever reportedly aims for “mobilisation of Francophone Zionist forces,” while Tsav 9 repeatedly blocked trucks bound for Gaza in 2024.
The two activists are accused of having contributed, through their respective organisations, to obstructing the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
Unlike arrest warrants, summons warrants do not entail automatic pretrial detention and can be issued directly by investigating judges without having to obtain approval from the National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office (PNAT), which has jurisdiction over war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide, according to Le Monde.
The French Jewish Union for Peace (UJFP), Al-Haq, Al Mezan, and the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights are reportedly civil parties in the case.
