AFRIN/ANKARA (AA) - The YPG/PKK terrorist group is providing Daesh terrorists in Deir ez-Zor with safe passage to opposition-held parts of Afrin, Free Syrian Army (FSA) spokesman Yousuf Hammud said Wednesday.
According to Hammud, four Daesh terrorists who were seized by opposition forces earlier Wednesday had come from YPG/PKK-held areas of Deir ez-Zor.
“Investigations have shown how Daesh terrorists can reach Afrin and Idlib by passing through YPG/PKK-held territories,” he said.
Under the terms of a recent agreement, the YPG/PKK terrorist group has vowed to provide Daesh members with safe passage to Idlib and Afrin if they lay down their arms and release captured YPG/PKK fighters.
Armed opposition groups in northern Syria, however, warn that they will stop the terrorists -- by force if necessary -- from entering the region.
In the past, the YPG/PKK had released captured Daesh members in return for ransom payments from the terrorist group.
