BERLIN (AA) - German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Thursday was seen shaking for the second time in nine days.

At a ceremony in Berlin, when Merkel's whole body started to shake, she folded her arms in an apparent attempt to stop the motion, but it continued.

She was offered a glass of water but declined it.

A similar incident took place last week when she was receiving Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

Merkel had cited dehydration as being behind the incident, but it led to German media questioning her health.

Last October, Merkel announced she would not seek reelection as chancellor when her term ends in 2021.

Age 64, Merkel has served as Germany’s chancellor since 2005.

As planned, Merkel will depart today for Japan to attend a G20 Leaders’ Summit.
