BERLIN (AA) - Germany approved arms exports worth approximately €12 billion ($14.2 billion) in 2025, according to government figures released on Friday.
Ukraine became the top recipient of German weapons and military equipment last year with approximately $2.4 billion in approvals, maintaining its leading position from 2024.
The Federal Ministry of Economics reported that over $12.6 billion—roughly 90% of approved exports—went to EU members, NATO allies, and close partners, including South Korea and Singapore.
According to official figures, NATO allies Norway and Sweden ranked second and third, with Norway receiving approximately $1.6 billion and Sweden around $1.2 billion in weapons and military equipment. Outside NATO partners, Singapore was the largest recipient of German arms, with $837 million.
