ISTANBUL (AA) - Economic confidence in the German economy improved 5.2 points to 52.7 points month-on-month in July.
"The assessment of the current economic situation also experiences a significant increase with the indicator for the current situation rising by 12.5 points and thus settling at minus 59.5 points," the ZEW economic research center said Tuesday.
ZEW said after strong improvements over the past two months, the positive sentiment among respondents is becoming more firmly established.
Despite ongoing uncertainty due to global trade conflicts, nearly two-thirds of the experts expect the German economy to improve, it added.
Economic sentiment in the euro area also rose 0.8 points to 36.1 points over the same period, ZEW added.
