ISTANBUL (AA) - Producer prices in Germany continued to rise in December with a 0.8% increase on a yearly basis, the country's federal statistics bureau Destatis said on Monday.
The annual rise in December accelerated the 0.1% increase in the previous month.
Higher capital goods prices were the main reason for the annual increase in producer prices.
Capital goods prices in December rose 1.8% compared to the same month last year.
Energy prices decreased 0.2% annually in December, as lower prices for natural gas distribution had the biggest influence on the year-on-year rate of change for energy.
Meanwhile, producer prices fell 0.1% on a monthly basis in December.
