WASHINGTON (AA) - The number of people who have died from the coronavirus has exceeded 2.5 million worldwide, according to Johns Hopkins University on Thursday.
Data from the US-based school showed more than 112.7 million others have been infected by the virus that emerged in China in December 2019.
The US has the most infections and fatalities, with 28.3 million and more than 500,000, respectively.
It is followed by India with 11 million and Brazil with 10.3 million infections.
