ISTANBUL (AA) - India has introduced an anti-dumping duty for five years on certain steel products imported from Vietnam, the Press Trust of India reported on Thursday.
Citing a Finance Ministry notification, the news agency reported that the duty was imposed on the recommendation of the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR).
The decision aims to protect domestic manufacturers from cheap imports, it said.
Vietnam has yet to comment on India’s move.
The bilateral trade volume between India and Vietnam amounted to $14.81 billion during the 2023-2024 period.
