NEW DELHI (AA) - India has successfully flight-tested the intermediate-range ballistic missile Agni-3, the country’s Defense Ministry said on Friday.
The missile was test-fired from the Integrated Test Range in Chandipur, in the eastern Odisha state, the ministry said.
The launch that was carried out “under the aegis of the Strategic Forces Command,” validated “all operational and technical parameters,” according to the ministry.
The Agni-3 missile has a range capability of up to 3,000 kilometers (1,864 miles).
