ISTANBUL (AA) - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Friday visited Qatar after Israeli strikes on its capital Doha, in a "clear demonstration of Indonesia’s support for the government and people of Qatar," according to the Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
Subianto met the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani in Doha, according to the state-run news agency Antara.
The two leaders also discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation and regional tensions.
Earlier this week, Israel conducted an airstrike on Hamas leadership in Doha, killing a Qatari security officer and several Hamas members.
