Industrial producer prices up both in eurozone, EU in July

Highest monthly increases in industrial producer prices recorded in Romania, Bulgaria and Slovakia

ISTANBUL (AA) - The industrial producer prices in July increased by 0.4% in the euro area (EA) and 0.6% in the EU from June, according to Eurostat on Wednesday.

In a statement, Eurostat said that the highest monthly increases in industrial producer prices were recorded in Romania (6.7%), Bulgaria (5.7%) and Slovakia (2.8%).

The largest decreases were observed in Estonia (1.0%), Latvia (0.7%) and Luxembourg (0.4%).

On a monthly basis, prices decreased 0.2% for intermediate goods, increased 1.5% for energy, 0.2% for durable consumer goods, 0.1% for capital goods, and remained stable for non-durable consumer goods in the EA.

In the EU, prices decreased 0.2% for intermediate goods, increased 2.3% for energy, 0.2% for durable consumer goods, 0.1% for capital goods, and remained stable for non-durable consumer goods.

Industrial producer prices increased by 0.2% in the euro area and by 0.4% in the EU on a yearly basis.
