ISTANBUL (AA) – Annual inflation in Slovakia climbed to 12.6% last month, the highest level since June 2000, according to latest figures released on Tuesday.
The figure was at 11.8% in May, the country’s statistical authority said.
Food, transport, housing and energy prices were the main causes of the surge.
Monthly inflation also increased in June, rising to 1.1% from 0.4% in May.
