ANKARA (AA) - Annual inflation in Denmark reached its highest level since 1984, reaching 6.7% in April due to rising energy and food prices.
The figure was 5.4% in March, according to the Danish National Institute of Statistics on Tuesday.
The figure was mainly boosted by a faster rise in prices of housing and utilities with 9.8%, food and non-alcoholic beverages 7.1%, transport 10.9%, and restaurants and hotels 7.6%.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices went up by 1.6%, the highest on record, from a 0.6% rise in March.
