ANKARA (AA) - Known as “Turkey’s Maldives,” Lake Salda will get further protection with special new environmental protection measures taken by Environment and Urbanization Ministry
SPECIAL ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION (SEP)
Lake Salda has been put under Special Environmental Protection in order to prevent adjacent construction and protect its natural beauty.
The protected area has been expanded sixfold, from 4,4000 hectares to 29,500 hectares.
OLD NATURAL SITE AREA OF THE LAKE
The natural site area will be expanded from 5,898 hectares to 8,474 hectares.
