WASHINGTON (AA) - A number of injuries have been reported Tuesday after an apparent shooting near the West Side Highway in New York City.
“Currently there is one person in custody. No others outstanding. All information is preliminary as the investigation is ongoing,” the New York Police Department wrote on Twitter.
Police also urged the public to stay away from the intersection of Chambers Street and West Street and said many emergency responders are expected to be in the area.
A video purporting to be of the scene of the attack shows at least three victims lying on the ground.
