Interpol elects South Korea’s Kim Jong Yang new president

Announcement comes during body’s annual congress in Dubai

ISTANBUL (AA) - Interpol has elected South Korean Kim Jong Yang as its new president, the international police organization said on Wednesday.

On its official Twitter account, the international police body said Kim, who has been serving as acting president, was elected for a two-year term.

The statement came during the body’s annual congress held in Dubai.
