ISTANBUL (AA) – Iranian authorities have executed 8 Daesh militants for alleged involvement in attacks on parliament and the shrine of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini last year.
A statement by Tehran prosecutor’s office on Saturday confirmed that the eight had been executed, but did not say when they took place.
At least 17 people were killed and dozens injured in the attacks, which were later claimed by the Daesh terrorist group.
The eight were among a total of 26 people arrested following the attacks.
