ISTANBUL (AA) - Indirect talks between Iran and the US are set to take place on Friday in Oman’s capital, Muscat, with discussions expected to focus on Tehran’s nuclear program and the lifting of sanctions, Iranian media reported Wednesday.
The semi-official Tasnim News Agency said that the negotiations would be held indirectly, with Oman acting as a host.
The agenda will be limited to the nuclear file and sanctions imposed on Iran, the agency added.
Tasnim said Iran is expected to be represented by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, while the US side will be represented by special envoy Steve Witkoff.
