ISTANBUL (AA) - Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein and his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi discussed the latest developments in negotiations between the US and Iran in a phone call Sunday.
"Both sides confirmed the continuation of the negotiation process, and next Thursday was set as the date for the next session of negotiations between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, mediated by the Sultanate of Oman, to be held in Geneva," the Iraqi Foreign Ministry said in a statement on its website.
The ministers also addressed the ongoing military buildup in the region, stressing that current challenges should be resolved through peaceful means and dialogue to reduce tensions and enhance regional stability.
They agreed to maintain communication and coordination in the coming period to ensure continued consultation on issues of mutual interest, particularly amid what they described as sensitive regional circumstances.
