MOSUL, Iraq (AA) - Iraqi troops were deployed in the Sinjar district, where the PKK terrorists group retreated on Saturday, an army spokesperson said.
Brigadier General Yahya Rasool, Iraqi military spokesperson said late Sunday that the Iraqi troops were deployed to Sinjar district, where the PKK had retreated.
He said the 15th brigade of the army were deployed with heavy weapons in the Sinjar district and the Sinun town.
The terrorist group PKK, on August 3, 2014, used Daesh terrorist group's attacks on the Ezidi people in Sinjar and were active in the region.
