GAZA CITY, Palestine (AA) – Israeli forces arrested two Palestinians near the security fence with the Gaza Strip, according to the military on Monday.
In a statement, the army said the two had sneaked into the Zikim settlement near the security fence before being arrested.
No weapons were found in their possession, the statement said.
Israeli forces frequently arrest Palestinians for allegedly attempting to sneak into Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli army prohibits Palestinians in the Gaza Strip from approaching the Gaza-Israel buffer zone, frequently arresting -- or opening fire – on anyone who does.
