JERUSALEM/ISTANBUL (AA) – Israel claimed on Wednesday that it had intercepted a drone from Yemen.
A military statement said that the drone apparently fired from Yemen was shot down before entering Israeli airspace.
No air-raid sirens were activated from the attack, the army said.
There was no immediate comment from Yemen’s Houthi group on the Israeli claim.
Houthis confirmed on Tuesday that they would continue to carry out attacks against Israeli targets until Tel Aviv halts its war on Gaza.
Since November 2023, the Houthis have launched missile and drone strikes on Israeli targets and targeted commercial shipping in the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, and Arabian Sea in support of Palestinians in Gaza, where more than 56,000 victims have been killed in the Israeli offensive.
