JERUSALEM (AA) - Rwanda's flagship national carrier will establish direct air flights to Israel, Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported Monday.
The announcement was made following a meeting between Israeli Transport Minister Yisrael Katz and Rwandan Ambassador to Israel Joseph Rutabana.
According to the agreement, each country will operate seven regular commercial flights between Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport and Rwanda's Kigali Airport.
Rutabana was quoted as saying that his country's national carrier would begin offering flights to Israel “in coming months”.
In November of 2017, Israel opened its first embassy in Rwanda.
