ISTANBUL (AA) - The Israeli army said Sunday that it had carried out a “precise strike” in the Lebanese capital Beirut, claiming it targeted a senior Hezbollah operative.
The Israeli military said in a brief statement that it had conducted a “precise strike targeting a key Hezbollah terrorist in Beirut. Details to follow.”
Lebanon’s official National News Agency reported that “hostile aircraft” had bombed a southern suburb of Beirut, causing injuries and significant material damage.
Hezbollah has not yet issued a statement regarding the reported strike.
