Israeli economy minister invited to Bahrain conference

Bahraini authorities have yet to comment on Israeli minister's visit

JERUSALEM (AA) – Israeli Economy and Industry Minister Eli Cohen has been officially invited to attend an international high-tech conference next year in Bahrain, the Israeli Broadcast Authority reported on Monday.

The Gulf state will host Startup Nations Ministerial for technology and innovation organized by World Bank in April with participation of 170 countries.

Bahraini authorities have yet to comment on the report.

On Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said during a meeting with Chadian President Idriss Deby – who is currently visiting Israel – that he would visit other Arab countries following his recent visit to Oman last month.
