NABLUS, Palestine (AA) - A Palestinian was injured early Wednesday by Israeli army gunfire in clashes in the occupied West Bank city of Nablus.
The violence broke out when Israeli forces raided a number of houses in Nablus’ old town, according to an Anadolu Agency correspondent in the area.
According to eyewitnesses, Israeli forces used live ammunition and rubber bullets to disperse stone-throwing protesters.
There was no comment from the Israeli army on the report.
The Israeli army frequently carries out sweeping arrest campaigns across the occupied West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians.
