JERUSALEM (AA) – Israeli police on Thursday closed the maritime compound of the Jaffa Port in central Israel, following a report of a missile being found in the port's water.
In a statement, the Israeli maritime police said it received a report from an Israeli diver that he spotted a missile in the water near the Jaffa Port.
According to the statement, the Tel Aviv district maritime police unit is examining the suspicious item by police sappers.
The areas around the seaport were kept open for normal activity, police said.
