Netanyahu underwent a 'successful' pacemaker implantation operation, says hospital

JERUSALEM (AA) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was discharged from the hospital on Monday after undergoing medical surgery.

The Israeli prime minister's office said in a statement that Netanyahu left the Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer.

The statement did not mention other details, but Sheba Hospital issued a statement noting that Netanyahu underwent a “successful” pacemaker implantation operation.

Netanyahu’s office said in a statement on Sunday: “The weekly cabinet meeting scheduled for today (Sunday) has been postponed until further notice.”

Israeli Channel 12 confirmed that the weekly government meeting on Sunday was canceled due to the operation that Netanyahu underwent.
