AMMAN (AA) - Jordanian King Abdullah II on Monday met with Joseph Votel, head of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), and the latter’s accompanying delegation.
Held at Amman’s Husseiniya Palace, Monday’s meeting tackled bilateral relations, especially in the military arena, according to a subsequent statement released by Jordan’s Royal Court.
The two sides also reportedly discussed regional developments and the ongoing fight against terrorism.
The Jordanian authorities did not announce Votel’s arrival in advance, nor have they issued any statements regarding the expected duration of his stay.
