ISTANBUL (AA) – Kazakhstan and Kuwait on Tuesday discussed ways to expand cooperation in trade, investment, and sustainable development, as Kazakh Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu visited the Gulf country for the third Central Asia–Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) ministerial meeting.
Nurtleu held talks with Waleed Al-Bahar, director general of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED), and Imad Al-Zaid, deputy director general of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
According to Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry, discussions with KFAED focused on potential funding for infrastructure and socially significant projects in Kazakhstan.
“Special attention was paid to attracting the Fund’s resources for initiatives in energy, water supply, and agriculture,” a statement said.
The meetings also explored new pathways for trade and economic exchange between the two countries.
