You know I’m disgusted with the prejudiced statements we’ve heard from Republican front runner Donald Trump this election year. But his nearest GOP competitor is giving him a run for his money. This week, Ted Cruz called for targeted surveillance of Muslim-Americans saying, “We need to empower law enforcement to patrol and secure Muslim neighborhoods.” That’s right, another plainly unconstitutional attempt by a Republican presidential candidate to fear-monger and divide us by religion. Naturally, Donald Trump also jumped on the bandwagon and said he supports the plan “100%.” And if that’s not enough, Cruz even called out Minnesota as one of the first places he would add to his watch list!
