ISTANBUL (AA) - French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron will pay a state visit to the UK from July 8 to 10 at the invitation of King Charles III, Buckingham Palace announced on Tuesday.
According to the statement, the French first couple will be hosted at Windsor Castle during their three-day visit.
"The President of the French Republic, His Excellency Emmanuel Macron, accompanied by Mrs Brigitte Macron, has accepted an invitation from His Majesty The King to pay a State Visit to the United Kingdom from Tuesday 8th July to Thursday 10th July 2025," the palace said on X.
The upcoming visit marks the first French state visit to the UK since 2008, when then-President Nicolas Sarkozy and First Lady Carla Bruni were received by Queen Elizabeth II, also at Windsor Castle.
King Charles III and Queen Camilla previously conducted a state visit to France in September 2023, highlighting the importance of the Franco-British relationship.
