KUWAIT CITY (AA) - U.S.-Kuwaiti joint military exercises kicked off in Kuwait on Tuesday, according to a statement released by the Kuwaiti Defense Ministry.
Along with the U.S. army and Kuwaiti navy, Kuwait’s Interior Ministry and National Guard will also participate in the military maneuvers, the Defense Ministry said.
The three-day exercise is aimed at “developing and strengthening joint operational planning [between the U.S. and Kuwaiti militaries] with a view to raising overall combat readiness”, according to the ministry statement.
