ISTANBUL (AA) - Kyrgyzstan has sent more than 150 tons of humanitarian aid to Syria, with logistical support from Türkiye, state media reported on Thursday.

At the instruction of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, the aid was coordinated by the State Committee for National Security and the Foreign Ministry, with assistance from Turkish authorities.

The shipment included flour, rice, sugar, vegetable oil, and other essential goods.

This humanitarian action, the report said, confirmed the commitment of the head of state and the people of Kyrgyzstan to strengthening peace, security, and humanitarian support for countries in need.

Syrian representatives, on behalf of President Ahmed al-Sharaa, expressed gratitude to Kyrgyzstan, describing the aid as “fraternal assistance” during a difficult time for the Syrian people.
