Lebanese residents thwart Israeli attempt to dig trench near border

There was no comment from Israeli army on report

BEIRUT, Lebanon (AA) – Residents of a Lebanese town on Tuesday thwarted an attempt by Israeli soldiers to dig a trench near border between Israel and Lebanon, according to local media.
Israeli forces and military bulldozers moved to dig a 200-meter trench near the border town of Birket El-Naqar, but were confronted by local residents, the National Lebanese Agency reported.
No injuries were reported.
There was no comment from the Israeli army on the report.
Lebanon frequently complains of what it says daily Israeli violations of its airspace and territorial water and has filed several complaints with the United Nations.
