Magnitude 4.2 earthquake jolts Osmaniye, Turkey

Temblor occurs 7 kilometers below surface in southern province

ANKARA (AA) - An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 was recorded in Turkey’s southern Osmaniye province, the country's disaster agency reported early Monday.

The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) said the quake occurred in Duzici district seven kilometers (4.3 miles) below the surface.
