Magnitude 4 quake hits Turkey's Mediterranean region

No immediate reports of casualties

ANKARA (AA) - A magnitude 4 earthquake jolted Turkey's Mediterranean region on Wednesday morning, according to the nation's disaster agency.

The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) said the quake struck off the coast of the Kas district in Turkey’s southwestern province of Antalya at 8.20 a.m. local time (0520GMT).

The tremors occurred 92 kilometers (57 miles) away from Kas, with a 42-kilometer (26-mile) depth.

There were no immediate reports of casualties.
