ISTANBUL (AA) – Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Tuesday met with Bahrain’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa in Kuala Lumpur.
Anwar said on X that the meeting offered a chance to evaluate the bilateral ties between Malaysia and Bahrain, as well as discuss regional and international issues.
The meeting came as the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) on Tuesday held a summit with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and a trilateral meeting with China.
Both leaders also discussed areas of cooperation such as trade, investment, banking, semiconductors, agriculture, and tourism, Anwar said.
They also witnessed the exchange of seven documents covering diplomacy, logistics, digitalization, human resources, higher education, trade, and investment.
Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa visited Malaysia to lead the Kingdom of Bahrain’s delegation at the ASEAN-GCC Summit and the ASEAN-GCC-China Summit.
