ISTANBUL (AA) - The Australian police on Thursday shot a man dead outside a hospital in the eastern city of Taree.
The man, in his 30s, allegedly pointed a gun at policemen in the car park of Manning Hospital in New South Wales, according to ABC News.
Police had been called after reports that a man was firing shots in the air on Rouse Street in Wingham, according to the report.
The man was provided first aid after being shot at and rushed into the hospital where he died.
Authorities will hold an independent review of the incident to lay responsibility for the incident.
