Mavericks' new star Anthony Davis to be sidelined for multiple weeks

31-year-old suffers from left adductor strain, according to NBA insider

The Dallas Mavericks' new draft Anthony Davis will be sidelined for multiple weeks due to an injury, according to NBA insider Shams Charania.

The 31-year-old is "expected to miss multiple weeks with a left adductor strain," Charania said on X, quoting sources. "His absence could stretch to a month."

Davis played with 26 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists in his Mavs debut game against Houston Rockets, which ended 116-105 in favor of Dallas.​​​​​​​
