ANKARA (AA) - Mexico's unemployment rate fell to 3.4% in the third quarter this year, according to a report by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) on Wednesday.
The figure is a decline of 0.8 percentage points from 4.2% in the same period last year.
The economically active population (EAP), representing 59.9% of the country's population aged 15 and over, was 59.5 million people in the third quarter. This is 1.2 million more than the same quarter of the previous year.
In the third quarter, a total of 57.4 million people were employed, which was 1.6 million more compared to the same quarter of 2021, INEGI said.
