ISTANBUL (AA) - Here is a rundown of all the news you need to start your Sunday, including beginning of Gaza ceasefire at 0630GMT Sunday, several people got injured due to a stabbing attack in the Israeli capital Tel Aviv, two Iranian judges were killed outside of the Supreme Court, the attacker committed suicide.

  • Gaza ceasefire to begin at 0630GMT Sunday: Qatar

Qatar's Foreign Ministry announced that a ceasefire agreement for the Gaza Strip will go into Jan. 19.

Ministry spokesperson Majed Al-Ansari confirmed the development on X: "As coordinated by the parties to the agreement and the mediators, the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, January 19, local time in Gaza.”

“We advise the inhabitants to take precaution, exercise the utmost caution, and wait for directions from official sources,” he added.

  • Several injured in stabbing attack in Tel Aviv, say Israeli police

Several people were injured in a stabbing attack in Tel Aviv, according to police.

The attack occurred on Levontin Street, the daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported, citing capital police.

“The circumstances are unclear,” a police statement read.

Meanwhile, the Israeli broadcasting authority, KAN, reported that one of the victims is in critical condition.

  • 2 Iranian judges killed outside Supreme Court, assailant commits suicide

Two senior Iranian judges were killed after an unidentified armed assailant opened fire on them outside the Supreme Court in Tehran, state media reported.

According to a report by the state-run news agency IRNA, both judges were killed instantly, while another individual was wounded in the shooting, which took place in a bustling area of central Tehran.

In a statement, the judiciary’s media center described the attack as a “premeditated action.”

Juventus beat Milan 2-0 in the Italian Serie A week 21 clash.

After a goalless first half, Juventus' young Belgian winger Samuel Mbangula drew first blood in the 59th minute at Juventus Stadium.

Five minutes later, US winger Timothy Weah netted the second goal for the hosts.

Juventus is in the fourth spot with 37 points, while Milan are eighth with 31 in the standings


  • Women's no. 2 seed Paolini; men's no. 4 seed Fritz eliminated in Australian Open 3rd round

Women's no. 2 seed Jasmine Paolini from Italy, along with the men's no. 4 seed, American Taylor Fritz, were eliminated in the third round of the Australian Open.

Featured in back-to-back matches at the Margaret Court Arena, the married couple of Gael Monfils and Elina Svitolina, both came back to win their respective matches.

Two-time quarterfinalist Svitolina from Ukrainian stunned Paolini 2-6, 6-4, 6-0, while her husband, Monfils, from France, another two-time quarterfinalist, shocked Fritz 3-6, 7-5, 7-6(1), 6-4.

  • Türkiye, Axiom Space strengthen cooperation in space industry

Turkish Space Agency (TUA) and US-based space infrastructure developer Axiom Space have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to explore supply chain opportunities for Türkiye's space industry.

The agreement aims to foster collaboration in areas such as space technology, aviation, textiles, material science, advanced manufacturing, communications and life sciences, Türkiye's Ministry of Industry and Technology said on Saturday.

The ministry highlighted that cooperation would involve Türkiye’s youth in space activities, inspiring future astronauts, engineers, scientists and leaders. It also aims to support the sustainability of the space industry while fostering innovation in other sectors.


  • Trump’s memecoin hits $8B market value in 2 hours

Donald Trump’s newly launched cryptocurrency, $TRUMP, achieved a market valuation of more than $8 billion within two hours of its debut, according to press reports.

The president-elect announced the memecoin on X, urging supporters to join the "Trump Community."

“My NEW Official Trump Meme is HERE! It’s time to celebrate everything we stand for: WINNING!” Trump said in his post, directing followers to the coin’s official website.
