RABAT, Morocco (AA) - Moroccans held protests Saturday against Israel's genocide in the Gaza Strip.

Demonstrations were organized by the civil society group, Palestine Support Front, in the cities of Wejda and Bin Suleiman, where protesters condemned Israel's operations in Gaza.

Protesters chanted slogans such as, "The people of Morocco reject normalization", "The land is ours" and "We are all ready to sacrifice, Gaza is resilient," while waving Palestinian flags.

Israeli airstrikes and military operations in Gaza have resulted in the deaths of 45,227 Palestinians, including 17,492 children and 11,979 women since Oct. 7, 2023.

More than 107,573 victims have been injured, with thousands feared trapped under the rubble of demolished buildings.

Civil infrastructure, including hospitals and educational institutions where civilians sought refuge, have also been targeted and destroyed.
