NBA Basketball: Warriors win on the road to tie series

Golden State Warriors beat Oklahoma City Thunder to tie series at 3-3, deciding game to be played in Warriors' home

ANKARA (AA) – The Golden State Warriors beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 108-101 on Saturday night to tie the Western Conference Finals' series at 3-3.

After finishing the season with a record 73 wins and beating the Houston Rockets and the Portland Trail Blazers in the playoffs, the Warriors needed to win on the road to extend their season at least for one more game.

Warriors' 'Splash Brothers' -- Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson -- delivered for their team throughout the game, earning a combined total of 70 out of their team's 108 points.

Thompson finished with 41 points and hit an all-time NBA playoff record of 11 three-pointers.

Stephen Curry, who was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2015/2016 season, scored 29 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out nine assists in the victory.

For the Oklahoma City Thunder, who will now face a tough Game 7 on the road, Kevin Durant's 29 points and Russell Westbrook's 28 points were not enough.

The seventh and deciding game of the exciting series will be played at 9 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday (0200 GMT, Tuesday).
