Toronto Raptors beat Boston Celtics 104-103 in East playoffs as OG Anunoby scores buzzer beater to bring win

ANKARA (AA) - The defending NBA champions Toronto Raptors won against Boston Celtics 104-103 to have their first win in the Eastern Conference semifinals, thanks to a buzzer beater on Thursday.

The Raptors small forward OG Anunoby scored a game winner in the last 0.5 seconds.

Before Anunoby's very late three pointer from the corner, the Celtics were leading the game 103-101, with a made dunk.

Boston currently leads the best-of-seven series 2-1.

The Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry scored 31 points and had 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Fred VanVleet produced 25 points and 6 assists.

For the Celtics, Kemba Walker scored 29 points.

Boston power forward Jaylen Brown had double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds.


- Morant wins Rookie of the Year award

The Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant has been honored with the 2019-20 Kia NBA Rookie of the Year award.

The NBA said on website that Morant, 21, was the second Grizzlies player to win this award after Pau Gasol, who claimed it in the 2001-02 season.

Morant averaged 17.8 points and 7.3 assists this season.
