ERZURUM, Turkey (AA) - Some 217.5 kilograms of heroin was seized in eastern Turkey on Monday, police said.
The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media, said anti-narcotic teams carried out an operation on the Erzurum-Erzincan road.
A sniffer dog found the drugs in the trailer of a truck.
The driver identified by initials M.C and alleged owner of furniture in the truck identified by initials H.D. were detained by authorities.
