ANKARA (AA) – More than 31 tons of bootleg and smuggled alcohol were seized in multiple operations across Turkey, the Interior Ministry said on Wednesday.
Raids were carried out at 342 production facilities and warehouses in all 81 provinces of Turkey, according to the ministry.
Over 31,343 liters (8,280 gallons) of bootleg and smuggled alcohol were seized in the operations.
Police teams are on the hunt for 60 suspects believed to be involved in the illegal business, the ministry added.
