MOSCOW (AA) — Explosions were heard in several regions across Ukraine early on Wednesday, including in the capital Kyiv, according to the country's authorities.
Blasts were also heard in the wider Kyiv region, as well as in the central city of Kropyvnytskyi and in Dnipro further east, as well as in the central Cherkasy region, according to the reports of local military administrations.
The Kyiv military administration also said that air defense systems were engaged last night.
Air alerts also sounded in Ukraine-controlled parts of the Zaporizhzhia region, according to an online resource for alerting the population.
